What are shells? Essentially they are light tops that can be worn under other garments. Our discerning customers purchase our shells to add a little color to a suit, to make a sweater more comfortable, to make a low neckline more modest, to make a sheer shirt less revealing...

The Shell Station was founded in 2005. We began as a retail enterprise focusing exclusively on shells. As our store became more popular we received numerous requests and ideas from our customers. We scrambled to find suppliers to fill our customers' needs, and were unable to. Good ideas though they were, there was no one out there manufacturing them. We were determined to sell what our customers wanted to buy. So we decided to manufacture these shells ourselves, and created our clothing label Pea Bee & Jae.

We hired top designers from Manhattan's Fashion District to craft and perfect our acclaimed design. Our cut and fit appreciates that the body is not a box and consequently considers all of its contours. In response to many requests we perfected the neckline to a degree previously believed impossible, creating clothes that adhere proudly to the principles of tznius / tzniut. We lengthened the shells and added women's sizes. Our plus-sizes have a unique pattern meant to accommodate and flatter any figure.

Besides for the nylon / lycra and cotton / spandex shells that are basics, we found other interesting and alluring fabrics. We now make shells from modal, a delightful fabric made from beech trees, which features smoothness similar to synthetic fabrics, yet breathes as the natural material it is. Velour, knit, satin, and lace are amongst what we offer in our extensive product line. Body style choices are varied and exciting. Sleeve lengths range from full length sleeves, ¾ sleeves, to sleeveless tank tops. Neck styles include turtlenecks and mock-turtlenecks, and of course regular round necks. Our crop-tops offer the coverage you need where you need it- nothing extra. The bodysuits are always in vogue, and our Ruffles 'N Bows line offers a touch of grace.

Our shells come in a marvelous array of colors. Our choice in colors has brought us distinction and renown. We are always on the lookout for new and trendy colors, and appealing shades for our collection. Black, white, brown, navy, cream, off-white, pink, blue, camel, grey, beige, violet, sand, aqua, fuscia, turquoise, mauve, sage, peach, steel, etc, etc...

We carry a total of eighteen sizes! There are eight ladies sizes, including the women's sizes, and five sizes each of kids and maternity. Our children's shells are a staple in our customers' household wardrobes, both as shells and as t-shirts. Every mother loves our cotton three-quarter t-shirts in the summer. Our pregnant customers find our shells affordable and versatile enough for every day and all occasions. The crop-tops are also an excellent selection for our mothers-in-waiting, coverage where it's needed and comfort where it's not.

Our material is manufactured by our mills exclusively for us according to our specifications. The exact shade of each color, the weight, the stretch, and many more particulars- all to meet the discriminating tastes of our customers.
